Eh Pi yaani HP yaani Barre Brand !

What comes to your mind when you hear “HP.”  What will it stand for-
Hypothecation as in loan
Horsepower as in Units
But Today, we are going to see how many brand names/ places etc have HP in them:
  1. Hewlett Packard: The first brand that comes to everyone’s mind is HP computers. The company was founded in a one-car garage in Palo Alto by William “Bill” Redington Hewlett and David “Dave” Packard. Hence, the name Hewlett Packard a.k.a HP. It is one of the leading PC manufacturers.
Hush Puppies: Hush puppies is American footwear brand .The    Hush Puppies Dog Logo is a highly recognized symbol for footwear around the world .
The Hush Puppies name evolved from a trip into Tennessee by Jim Muir, the Company’s Sales Manager. Upon finishing his fried fish dinner at the home of a customer, he asked why the little fried corn dough balls were called “Hush Puppies.” The customer replied that, “the fried dough was used by farmers to quiet their barking dogs.” It striked to him “Hush Puppies” would be an excellent name for Wolverine’s new comfortable casual pigskin shoes because when feet hurt they are much like barking dogs.
Also, need to mention that idea of writing this post came while buying Hushpuppies shoes…Wanted to write it for long and my mind was barking for long and today I am able to put it at peace..Hush Hush 🙂
Harry Potter: Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by British author J.K Rowling. The novels chronicle the life of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. (BTW Hargun , our son has read all the books thrice and remembers everything by heart …phew !)

Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh a.k.a HP on our map is a northern Indian state in the Himalayas. It’s home to scenic mountain towns and popular hill stations which are treat to our eyes and soul. The most popular ones are Shimla, Kulu Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousssie, Spiti and list will go on and on.

Hyatt Place: Hyatt Hotels Corporation is an American multinational owner, operator, and franchiser of hotels, resorts, and vacation properties. Hyatt Place is a business hotel under this group. I have been to Hyatt place, gurgaon and it a delightful experience.

Hareepatti: Last but bot the least yours only Hareepatti where we advise on Personal Finance.
Our former advertising agency and we were brainstorming on various brand names as we were trying to rebrand our company. We came out with lot of names however decided to go with Hareepatti. Hari Patti means green note, directly referring to the 500 rupee note, which is green in colour. ….Oops Was green in colour …(thanks to demoentization) but will we change the name from Hareepatti to Gulabipatti ?? well never say Never….lets see in the times to come 🙂
