4 POST – Finance Tips for Content Creators

I clearly remember, when I was to go to college in 2001, the career choices were to be either a Chartered Accountant, a Doctor or an Engineer and you had to adjust your skill sets and choose  a course accordingly.

20 years later, with whatever skill set you have, you can think of a multitude of career options, there is no taboo when it comes to your profession and that is why you are seeing content creators as one of the highest paid professions in 2022.

Now, when there are content creators, someone needs to address their finances too. So, here are 4 Personal Finance tips for our fellow content creators, like they Post on social media, they can ‘POST’ in their financial lives too:

P: Plan a Budget,

O: Organize,

S: Savings plan,

T: Target

  1. Plan a Budget: A Content Creator is their own boss and maintaining a balance between spending and saving becomes challenging. Here, budgeting will definitely help.  Prepare a budget, write down all the personal and business expenses, monitor  them on a month to month basis, and identify the surplus every month that can be invested.
  1. Organize : Content creators organize and automate their content, they make calendars, schedule the future posts and plan everything in advance as per the audience and content demand. Similarly, organizing financial life will come naturally to them: consolidation of investments, maintaining of documents and giving proper time to their financial life are few key things.
  1. Savings Plan: The income for a content creator is directly proportional to the content they created. So, one has to be highly disciplined with their content so that their income doesn’t become intermittent. Similarly, discipline has to be instilled in savings too. Start investing regularly in a disciplined way. SIP in mutual funds is the best solution.
  1. Targets should be set: One size doesn’t fit all, that is Financial Goals for everyone and reserve for equipments – new camera, new technology.

So if you are a Content Creator then while you POST, Do not Forget to POST 😊
